The 'meat substitutes' out there are very processed soy products. These are fine in moderation but don't eat too much at a time. The refined soy has gotten a bad rap over the years and soy in general is loaded with estrogen which can wreak havoc if overconsumed. One of the best choices is tempeh. Tempeh is the best source of protein and can be prepared in many ways. Seitan is good too. This is wheat gluten that is shaped in the texture of meat. Again be careful not to overconsume this as well as it is wheat and everything e eat is practically wheat which can cause allergic reactions in the form of a runny nose, rash, etc. When I say overconsume I basically mean switch it up. 3 days a imo, is fine. Lots of rice and beans are excellent ass well.
